THE TEN COMMANDMENTS OF GOD

THE FIRST COMMANDMENT  Exodus 20:2-6

I am the Lord thy God, who brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. Thou shalt not have strange gods before me. Thou shalt not make to thyself a graven thing, nor the likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or in the earth beneath, nor of those things that are in the waters under the earth. Thou shalt not adore them, nor serve them: I am the Lord thy God, mighty, jealous, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me; and showing mercy unto thousands to them that love me, and keep my commandments.

THE SECOND COMMANDMENT  Exodus 20:7

Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain; for the Lord will not hold him guiltless that shall take the name of the Lord his God in vain.

THE THIRD COMMANDMENT  Exodus  20:8-11

Remember that thou keep holy the sabbath day. Six days shalt thou labour, and shalt do all thy works. But of the seventh day is the sabbath of the Lord thy God; thou shalt do no work on it, thou nor thy son, nor thy maidservant, nor thy beast, nor the stranger that is within thy gates. For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, and the sea, and all things that are in them, and rested on the seventh day, and sanctified it.

THE FOURTH COMMANDMENT  Exodus 20:12

Honor thy father and thy mother, that thou mayest be long lived upon the land which the Lord thy God will give thee.

THE FIFTH COMMANDMENT  Exodus 20:13

Thou shalt not kill.

THE SIXTH COMMANDMENT  Exodus 20:14

Thou shalt not commit adultery.

THE SEVENTH COMMANDMENT  Exodus 20:15

Thou shalt not steal.

THE EIGHTH COMMANDMENT  Exodus 20:16

Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor.

THE NINTH COMMANDMENT  Exodus 20:17

Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor’s wife.

THE TENTH COMMANDMENT   Exodus 20:18

Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor’s house; neither shalt thou desire his servant, nor his handmaiden, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor anything that is his.

THE BEATITUDES (Matthew 5:3-12)

Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are the meek: for they shall possess the land.
Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.
Blessed are they that hunger and thirst after justice: for they shall have their fill.
Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.
Blessed are the clean of heart: for they shall see God.
Blesses are the peacemakers: for they shall be called children of God.
Blessed are they that suffer persecution for justice’ sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are ye when they shall revile you, and persecute you, and speak all that is evil against you, untruly, for my sake:
Be glad and rejoice, for your reward is very great in heaven.

My Little pair of Rosary Beads,
As plain as can be,
But only God in Heaven knows,
How dear they are to me.
I have them always with me,
At every step I take,
At evening when I slumber,
At morning when I wake.
In bright and cloudy weather,
In sunshine or in rain,
In happiness or in sorrow,
In pleasure or in pain.
It helps me in my struggle,
It reproves me when in sin,
Its look of gentle patience,
Rebukes the strife within.
In days of pain and anguish,
When I will have to die,
I hope my little Rosary Beads
Will close beside me lie.
That the Holy Name of Jesus May be the last I say,
And kissing my sweet Rosary Beads,
My soul may pass away.        –by: Rev. O.A. Boyer S.T.L

HAIL HOLY QUEEN

Rosary Prayer

O, God, Whose only-begotten Son, by His life, death and resurrection, has purchased for us the rewards of
eternal life; grant, we beseech Thee, that, meditating upon these mysteries of the Most Holy Rosary of the
Blessed Virgin Mary, we may imitate what they contain and obtain what they promise, through the same
Christ Our Lord. Amen.

Prayer to Saint Michael the Archangel

Saint Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle. Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray; and do Thou, O Prince of the Heavenly Host – by the Divine Power of God -cast into hell, Satan and all the evil spirits, who roam throughout the world seeking the ruin of souls. Amen.

Saint Teresa of Avila…

Lord, grant that I may always allow myself to be guided by you, always follow your plans, and perfectly accomplish your holy will.

Saint Theresa Lisieux…

“Until the end of the world, I will spend my heaven doing good on earth.”

In Honor of Our Lady of Mount Carmel – prayer – Song FLOS CARMEL

Latin translation
Flos Carmeli, vitis florigera, splendor caeli, virgo puerpera singularia Mater mitis sed viri nescia Carmeliis esto propitia sella maris. Radi lesse germinans flosculum nos ad esse tecum in saeculum patiaris Inter spinas quae crescis lilium serva puras mentes fragilium tutelaris Armatura Fortis pugnanitium furunt bella tend praesidium scapularis Per incerta prudens consilium per adversa iuge solatium largiaris Mater dulcis Carmeli Domina plebem tuam reple laetitia qua bearis Paradisi clavis et ianua, fac nos duci quo, mater, gloria coronaris. amen (Alleluia)

English translation
Flower of Carmel, Tall vine blossom laden, Splendor of heaven, Childbearing yet maiden None equals thee. Mother so tender, who no man dist know, On Carmel’s children Thy favors bestow. Star of the Sea. Strong stem of jesse, Who bore one bright flower, Be ever near us And guard us each hour, who serve thee here. Purest of lilies, that flowers among thorns, Bring help to the true heart that in weakness turns and trusts in thee. Strongest of armor, We trust in thy might: Under counsel You give to those who turn to thee. Our way uncertain, Surrounded by foes, unfailing counsel You give to those who turn to thee. O gentle Mother, Who in Carmel reigns, Share with your servants that gladness you gained and now enjoy. Hail, Gate of Heaven, With glory now crowned, Bring us to safety Where thy Son is found, true joy to see. Amen (Alleluia)

Saint Joseph…

A Good and faithful servant of the Lord.
Joseph sought God in simplicity; Joseph found God in detachment; Joseph enjoyed God’s company in obscurity.” Saint Joseph’s humility must have been increased by the thought of the gratuity of this exceptional vocation. He must have said to himself: why has the Most High given me, rather than any other man, his Son to watch over? Only because that was his good pleasure. Joseph was freely preferred from all eternity to all other men to whom the Lord could have given the same gifts and the same fidelity to prepare them for so exceptional a vocation.

Father Reginald Garrigou-Lagrange, O.P.

“Jesus and Mary desire that my pure heart, so long hidden and unknown, be now honored in a special way. Let my children honor my most pure heart in a special manner on the First Wednesday of the month by reciting the Joyful Mysteries of the rosary in memory of my life with Jesus and Mary and the love I bore them, the sorrow I suffered with them. Let them receive Holy Communion in union with the love with which I received the Savior for the first time, and each time I held Him in my arms. Those who honor me in this way will be consoled by my presence at their death, and I myself will conduct them safely into the presence of Jesus and Mary.”
